Today I'm going to share with you an interview I did with a lovely etsy seller, LuvToSparkLe!
She has some awesome and cute items! Worth checking out, so keep reading!
Q. Tell us a bit about yourself.
A. My name is Sharon and I'm 27 years old. I have been working in pharmacy as a technician for the last 8 years and will be starting pharmacy school this August.
Q. What kind of items do you sell and why not something else?
A. I sell jewelry, I work with resin, pearls, crystals, plastic, all the fun colorful stuff :) These are the things I love to create with, and I'm sure if and when I find something new then I'll try it and possibly incorporate it into my shop as well! :)
Q. What do you like doing when your not working on your etsy shop?
A. Nowadays it seems that what I like doing and what I need to do are 2 different stories! :) When I'm not making jewelry I am usually at work, at school working on my organic chemistry, or doing homework. But if I truly do have some downtime I just love to sleep, watch TV, or hang out with my friends.
Q. When did you open your shop and what made you decide to do it?
A. I opened LuvToSparkLe about a year ago and had actually decided to open it after a trip with my friends. We visited a really cool shop that had tons of fun jewelry in it and I just fell in love! I wanted to try and make my own custom designs, and here I am! :)
Q. What are some of your favorite books and music?
A. I don't read a lot but I do have a couple favorites :) I just love all the Harry Potter books, I have been a huge fan of the Shopaholic series (I wasn't a fan of the movie though) I really love so many different kinds of music, mostly pop and r&b right now.
Q. Where would you like to see yourself in 10 years?
A. Successful! I can't wait to be a pharmacist and I hope to sell more in my Etsy shop :) But to me being successful doesn't necessarily mean selling the most, I find it most rewarding when I sell an item and get wonderful feedback from the buyer or appreciation photos, those just light up my day! :) I would also love to have a family in 10 years :)
Q. Do you have advice and/or tips for new sellers on etsy?
A. I would say just make sure that what you are selling is what you love or are passionate about, because then it will really show in what you put out there. Don't get discouraged while waiting for the first sale because it's hard for everyone, just keep promoting and having fun with what you do.
